- Biomolecular characterization of rare and solid hereditary tumors (breast, colon, NET, GIST).
- Analysis of gene expression profiles and miRNAs in vitro and / or in tissue and blood samples. Analysis of gene copy number (CNV) variation in major solid tumors.
- Translational research studies aimed at new therapeutic strategies (pharmacogenetics).

- Purification, propagation of stem cells from different types of cancer such as: Colon, Breast Thyroid, Ovary, Prostate, Lung and Glioblastoma;
- Identification of the phenotypic and molecular characteristics of cancer stem cells;
- Tumor-specific molecular analysis of molecules having a key role in the process of tumorigenesis and metastagenesis;
- Understanding of the mechanisms that control tumor formation and progression, chemoresistance and metastasis formation;
- Study of the mechanisms of resistance to common antitumor therapies of cancer stem cells;
- Development of a new technological platform for the non-invasive treatment of oncological diseases based on the use of focused ultrasound;
- Development of new anticancer therapeutic strategies based on genomics and functional proteomics investigations of cancer stem cells: identification of effective drugs targeting cancer stem cells;
- Development of experimental models of tumor stem cell xenograft for the testing of new drugs on human-derived tumors;

- Study of a new population of adipose stem cell spheroids (SASCs), molecular characterization: genomic and proteomic analysis.
- Study of the immunomodulatory role of adipose stem cell spheroids in vascularized composite transplants: induction of immunological tolerance and in vivo monitoring.
- Analysis and comparison between the different anatomical sites of sampling and extraction techniques of stem cells from adipose tissue
- Isolation of epithelial tumor stem cells for the purpose of testing new anticancer therapies in vitro.
- Development of new molecular technologies through the use of focused ultrasound.
