The Role of Work-Related Attitudes in Shaping Positive Working Conditions.
Over the decades, organizational psychology has highlighted different concepts that describe dynamics in the work context, aiming to understand how people work and how they can work better and more efficiently.
The main aim of my research project is to investigate the relationship between work-related attitudes and different concept through field studies, particularly examining how these factors can contribute to improving working conditions.
According to the Job Demands-Resources Model (JDR; Demerouti et al., 2001), the balance of resources and demands in the work environment influences employees' organizational outcomes. When demands are high, but supported by adequate resources, workers tend to be more motivated and perform better. Conversely, a high level of demands without sufficient resources can lead to negative outcomes, such as burnout, dissatisfaction, and turnover.
The project will provide insights for researchers and HR managers on effective strategies to support and enhance employee workplace attachment.
I am currently work on:
- a cross-sectional study on the relationship between workplace attachment and work-related attitude, quiet quitting and workaholism. Based on the current study and state of art workplace attachment could be considered a result of the demands and resources available to the individual. In 2006, Rioux introduced a theoretical model to explain the construct of 'workplace attachment'. Alongside this model, Rioux developed a scale to assess the impact of attachment to the workplace on various aspects of organizational behavior. This type of attachment is described as an emotional bond that workers develop through continuous interaction with the organizational context in which they operate (Rioux, 2006);
- a systematic review on workplace attachment.
