The documentary and field analyses conducted by the project partners in their respective countries revealed various training needs of teachers, especially in the area of communication. The need emerged for teachers to develop skills to help solve communication problems during university education/training and to improve the efficiency level of university higher education. According to the research conducted within the ClassTHIFA project, the coaching approach in teaching, and more generally in everyday contexts, is not widespread in Europe.
The result of the preparatory phase of the needs analysis is the development of a Lesson Book, the ClassTHIFA Trainer’s Handbook. The Handbook aims to improve the competencies of university teachers in the field of classroom coaching methodology, enabling connection and cooperation between the teacher/coach and the learner.
Five training units were developed, each containing a series of lessons:
UNIT 1: Coaching
UNIT 2: Personality and Self-improvement
UNIT 3: Communication
UNIT 4: Team management
UNIT 5: Technology and learning
TRAINING:
The upcoming action of the project aims to promote the training of young future trainers. The theoretical and methodological framework of the training looks at coaching as an innovative training element.
