The University of Palermo and the publisher Springer signed a co-branding agreement in 2013, the first in Italy and among the first internationally for its characteristics of multidisciplinarity and variety of editorial products. The agreement led to the launch of the English-language publishing project Unipa Springer Series.
The project provides the Unipa academic community with the opportunity to publish high-quality research and teaching works, including monographs, contributed volumes, conference proceedings, handbooks and advanced textbooks, and publications developed from doctoral theses. This initiative is open to scholars from our university, including collaborations with colleagues from other academic and research institutions, allowing them to promote their research and teaching outputs by leveraging Springer’s commercial infrastructure and publishing platform.
Unipa Springer Series has an Editorial Board composed of professors appointed by the Rector and of internationally recognized faculty selected by the publisher.
Manuscripts submitted to the series are single-blind peer reviewed and are invited for publication in the following fields of study:
- Clinical Medicine
- Medical, Biomedical & Life Sciences
- Engineering & Physical Sciences
- Mathematics, Statistics & Computer Science
- Business, Economics & Law
- Human, Behavioral & Social Sciences.
