Active Research fields
G.A. Pennisi is currently working on specialized languages with a particular attention to lexico-grammatical and textual analysis of legal discourse genres within multilingual and multicultural contexts. She is Associate Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS), Sir William Dale Visiting Fellowship, University of London, where she is responsible for the “Legislative Drafting and Language” project.
Research projects of the last 5 years
2014 – She was part of the team working for the European Project e-Medi@te" (project proposal JUST/2011-2012/JCIV/AG/4000003440, European Commission Directorate-General Justice Unit A.4) She was responsible for the legal language unit – specialised language.
Collaborations
GIULIA ADRIANA PENNISI, Associate Professor in English Language and Translation at the University of Palermo. She is also Associate Fellow at the Sir William Dale Centre, Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS) - University London.
Since 2012-2013, she has been involved in the project called “Legislative Drafting and Language” and worked together with Professor HELEN XANTAHKI - (Professor in Law and Legislative Drafting, Director International Postgraduate Laws Programmes, UoLondon, UCL Faculty of Laws, University College London and Dr. CONSTANTIN STEFANOU (Director of Research Programmes / Academic Director - Sir William Dale Centre, Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, IALS, University of London).
