Formes de sacrifice animal, alimentation et dissimulations médiatiques

Abstract

The aim of this article is to discuss the thesis that we live today in a society and historical moment that is losing the meaning of sacrifice, that is, the relevant links that unite - with regard to the theme of the meat diet and the prior killing of the animal for food - man and animals, man and other men through the animal, the animal with other animals through man, with the necessary inclusion of the cultural context, on the one hand, and of divinity and the sacred, on the other. In this respect, a corpus of texts will be analysed which, at first sight, is heterogeneous and heterodox: television programmes, theme parks, social advertising, films, etc., to reconstruct the contemporary imaginary of sacrifice.
