As part of the Erasmus+ Programme, the UDCT and SING study courses offer students the opportunity to enjoy international mobility and training experiences abroad thanks to cooperation agreements with other European universities. The Erasmus+ programme allows students to follow courses, take examinations and use the facilities available at the host institute without additional tuition fees, with the guarantee of recognition of the study period abroad through the transfer of the respective credits according to the European credit accumulation systems. The Erasmus experience represents not only an opportunity to deepen one's language skills during studies, but also a recognised added value for graduates entering the world of work.

Students are invited to consult the Internationalisation Policies for Mobility and the information contained on the page dedicated to International placements.

Erasmus+ activation procedure
DURATION: min 3 - max 12 months (with the possibility to carry out the internship abroad as well)
Announcement: the announcement is usually published between March and April at https://www.unipa.it/mobilita/studenti-unipa-outgoing/bandi-e-graduatorie/.

The call for proposals includes the list of the Inter-institutional Agreements with the Partner Universities;
the names of the teachers coordinating the mobility places;
the number of places available;
the expected duration of the mobility;
the language in which the assessment of language competence is carried out.
Typically, the call for applications is aimed at students in the 2nd year of the three-year degree programme (LT) and students in the 1st year of the master's degree programme (LM). Thus LT students will sit out part of their 3rd year exams and LM students will sit out part of their 2nd year LM exams.
Depending on the destinations available, students will apply before the closing date indicating the desired destination.
CLA COLLOQUIA: Depending on the chosen destination, the University Language Centre (CLA) will ascertain and issue the language certification required for the chosen destination. The interview usually takes place between May and June. Students already in possession of the required valid language certification will be exempt from the interview with the CLA.
RESULT: Having ascertained "mastery" of the required language, a ranking will be drawn up and the winners will be named accordingly. The winning student will be provided with material, typically available online at the host institution's website, relating to the courses provided.
DRAFTING THE LEARNING AGREEMENT (LA): The student, under the supervision of the teacher of reference of his or her degree course, will have to identify the examinations that will be taken abroad compatibly with the period of stay established. A Learning Agreement (LA) will then be drawn up (tutorial compilazione learning agreement at https://www.unipa.it/amministrazione/direzionegenerale/sspinternationalrelationsoffice/u.o.outgoing/.content/documenti/Guide/GuidaLA-Studenti-Before-21042020.pdf), which will be signed by the student, the course coordinator and the person responsible for the Erasmus agreement.
LA changes: During the stay abroad, changes in the LA (in terms of exams to be taken and validation of CFUs) are allowed. These must be recorded in the LA and signed and authorised by the Course co-ordinator and the Erasmus manager.
The whole procedure is described in detail in the Erasmus+ Student Memo - Study Mobility.
