The University Medical Clinic (AMU), is an initiative of the University of Palermo in partnership with the University Hospital "Paolo Giaccone", to offer a free service of multidisciplinary outpatient medical assistance to students, PhD students, postgraduate students, fellows and University Scholars, as well as all foreign students attending the University according to specific agreements and programs.

AMU is located in the heart of the University Campus (viale delle Scienze), in a fully equipped room of the ground floor porch of the Faculty of Architecture (Building 14). 

The clinic is a service dedicated to young people who attend the University and its spaces.
AMU will provide specialist services in:
• Cardiology;
• Psychological counseling;
• Gastroenterology;
• Gynaecology 
with special attention to the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases and contraception;
• Respiratory Disease;
• Metabolic Diseases;
• Sports Medicine;
• General Medicine;
• Urology

AMU IS NOT A FIRST AID UNIT, AND EMERGENCY MEDICINE IS NOT CARRIED OUT THERE

Those who need, after specialist examination, hospitalization and instrumental tests or laboratory will be directed to the University Hospital “Paolo Giaccone”. The same is true for all specialties not found in the structure.
At the clinic it is possible to have National Health Service prescriptions.
Prevention campaigns on health, against obesity and smoking and in favour of donating blood and sport will soon be launched.
