The research activity of D. Varrica has ranged over several aspects of environmental geochemistry. The elemental compositions of daily PM10 and PM2.5 samples collected in urban area; Identification of possible inorganic chemical tracers of vehicular traffic; XANES spectroscopy speciation of Sb, Cu and Mo in airborne particulate matter; trace elements contents in human scalp hair samples.
