La ricerca numismatica in Sicilia

Abstract

The contribution intends to oπer an overview of the main publications that involved numismatic studies concerning Sicily in the Greek and Roman ages in the four-year period 2018-2021. We will therefore propose a critical review of corpora and research of a general nature, relating to wide-ranging themes, of catalogs of prestigious collections, of antiquarian studies or of the history of collections, of research on the production of specific mints, on the coin finds, both single or in hoards, the production techniques, the inscriptions and the iconography.
