Field surveys and acquisition, processing and interpretation of acoustic data, sampling of marine areas, regional geology of the Central Mediterranean and Central America areas, stratigraphic and structural setting of Sicily, neotectonic processes and related hazards along active continental margins, mapping and management of marine and coastal areas, identifying, characterization and exploitation of geological resources in marine areas

Laboratories of Sedimentology  (particle size analysis for sieving, laser analyzer, preparation of thin sections, core cutting, reflected light and transmission microscopes), Marine Geology and Seismostratigraphy (grabs, softwares for acquisition, processing and interpretation of multibahymetric and seismic data, GIS, structural data balancing and restoration).
