Reflections on legal interpreter training in a continuous learning course with special focus on LLDs (University of Bologna)

Abstract

This chapter describes a training course at the University of Bologna aimed at 'language mediators' and interpreters. It describes the situation in Italy, the existing lacunae and how this course can act as a 'blue print' for similar courses. It describes the didactic multi-lingual teaching methodology, its strengths and its weaknesses
