Abstract
The article focuses on the relationship between translation and migration as forms of cultural adaptation and assimilation within the contemporary context of Asian immigrants in Sicily. By taking into account recent critical approaches to translation and migration as correlated instruments of power, this paper demonstrates how Asian people have the potentialities to be tranformed into cultural translators in a foreign place, which can eventully become a familiar one, though in a conflictual and contradictory way.
