L'Accademia Nazionale d'Arte Drammatica (1935-1941)

Abstract

The Historical Archive of the National Academy of Dramatic Arts holds a large documentary heritage that allows us to investigate the models of the pedagogical system that the School promoted by Silvio d’Amico. The period documented is between 1935, the year of the birth of the School, and 1941, the year of the dissolution of the Academy Company, in which the student actors and directors who graduated from the first courses made their debut. Their names, in most cases, are not known.
