2000 - PhD.in Hydraulic Engineering, University of Reggio Calabria, with the dissertation: "Modelli di propagazione idrodinamica in reti di drenaggio urbano: stato dell’arte e proposte innovative." (Hydrodynamic propagation models in urban drainage networks: state of the art and innovative proposals).
1994 - Degree in Civil (Hydraulic) Engineering, Università degli studi di Palermo with a dissertation on Indagine sperimentale sul profilo di velocità e sulla legge di resistenza al moto in alvei in ghiaia (Experimental study of velocity profile and flow resistence in gravel bed rivers).
