Abstract
The LEGO brick is an immediately recognisable figure, firmly rooted in the collective imagination, an intergenerational game that works by combinations, generating amazement and satisfaction in the user for what he or she is able to create from a series of similar elements. Starting from this idea - ingenious, in its elementary nature - and by successive multiplications, LEGO has generated more: not only a toy company, but also a chain of amusement parks, a media producer, a company with an innovative working environment, a didactic learning system, a well-known brand, and one could go on. It is not just a matter of simple constructions, it is not just a question of vintage passion for a mechanical world on this side of the screen, but rather of a veritable legosphere, within which texts and discourses circulate. The paper focuses on the constitutive mechanisms of the legosphere, while at the same time attempting to shed light on the - partly generalisable - criteria of the conditions of possibility of its symbolism.
