Cittadinanza digitale in Università: Be a Good Digital Citizen

Abstract

This contribution addresses the issue of digital citizenship education applied to university education. The article presents a training course called Be a Good Digital Citizen, implemented during the Digital Technology Laboratory in the Course LM-85bis at the University of Palermo. The pathway, structured into the theory of the nine elements developed by Ribble and organized in six modules, involved around 200 students for a total of 48 hours, during which training moments on the theme of digital citizenship alternated with practical educational activities that required the use of different digital tools. The goal was to increase participants' knowledge of the key concepts of digital citizenship and train them in the critical and responsible use of technology. The students demonstrated greater awareness of the issue of digital citizenship, demonstrating interest and commitment during the activities.
