Abstract

This paper proposes a new active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) for induction motor (IM) drives. In particular, differently from the Extended State Observer (ESO), adopted in classic ADRC, here a high-gain unknown input observer is used with a driving term that is a function of the tracking error. This approach allows total robustness, as explained in the paper. The proposed control technique has been experimentally verified on a suitably devised test set-up.
