Emine Sevgi Özdamar's new novel is a polyphonic hymn to a post-war Europe in which, for a short time, it seemed possible to break down borders using poetry alone. The novel is a long list of memories of friends, artists and acquaintances who accompanied Emine Sevgi Özdamar on her way. Above all it is the eloquent opening of a space between threat and security, a space delimited by shadows.
