Active Research fields

Synthesis and Characterization of Nanomaterials: hydroxides, metal and metalloid nanoparticles, polymer nanocomposites. Morphological, structural and spectroscopic characterization.

Chemical-physical diagnostics in cultural heritage: painted ceramics, cellulosic materials (paper and wood). Non-destructive and non-invasive investigations by portable techniques and micro-invasive investigations by laboratory instrumentation.

Scientific Manager of PO-FERS Project 4.1.1.2 "BIODETERGENTS" - Development of biocompatible formulations and environmentally sustainable in the sector "Personal Care", lead partner: EcoCare LTD (Amount financed UNIPA € 324,196).

Component of the research unit of the PO-FERS Project extent 4.1.1.1bis "Greenclean" - biodegradable products and packaging with a reduced environmental impact in the areas "House Detergents" and "Personal care."
