Scientific responsible for the University of Palermo of a 4-years project (2013-2016), funded by the EU, 7th Framework Program “Marie Curie Actions — International Research Staff Exchange Scheme (IRSES)” (call identifier: FP7-PEOPLE-2012-IRSES). The title of the project is “Fluvial processes and sediment dynamics of slope channel systems: Impacts of socio economic-and climate change on river system characteristics and related services – FLUMEN”. http://www.flumen-irses.eu
Scientific responsible, for the Italian side, of a two-year project (2010-2011) of scientific cooperation between Italian and Germans researchers, funded by the German-Italian University Centre within the framework of the Vigoni Program 2009. The project, whose title was “Soil erosion assessment in the Mediterranean: An integrative approach combining field studies, remote sensing methods and process based modelling in the Imera Catchment of Northern Sicily, Italy”
“Proyecto de red interuniversitaria en analisis y evaluacion de la peligrosidad natural en Centro America” (Università di Palermo – Universidad de El Salvador – Universidad de Guatemala - Universidad de Nicaragua – CNR/IGC Pisa), funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy. Within this project, he took part to 6 secondments to El Salvador, Guatemala e Nicaragua, in the period 2010-2013.
