Antropologia come “general Weltkenntniß”. Kant e la concezione cosmica dell'umano

Abstract

The anthropological project of a world-environment in which man, thanks to the development of his own abilities, finds his position and conquers a central role, is inserted, in Kant, within a larger plan that faces man with goals whose attainment goes far beyond what he can do; it goes well beyond the pragmatic image of a world conceived and designed on a human scale. Therefore just as every physiological anthropology that remains limited to the point of view of man as a product of the game of nature proves insufficient, a pragmatic anthropology only linked to the anthropocentric representation of a world scaled on human arbitrariness and power would prove equally insufficient.
