Kant’s Idea of History

Abstract

Is there a philosophy of history in Kant’s work? What does “philosophy of history” mean in relation to Kant? In what sense can one use this expression, especially in relation to the Kantian concept of philosophy? The essay tries to answer these questions examining the relationship between biology, progress and political order in Kant's rational reading of human events.
