The essay examines the question of the meridian landscape within Cecilia Mangini's cinema, starting with some of her films, made between the late 1950s and the first half of the 1960s. During this period, Italy experienced the so-called economic boom, under which the landscape underwent significant changes. Cecilia Mangini's cinema records that change.
