The National Research Council (CNR) is currently the largest non-university institution involved in the doctoral programs of Italian universities, making a significant investment of its own resources. The CNR aims to contribute to the advanced education of young researchers through research initiatives. In its strategy for participation in doctoral programs, the investment is directed towards the development of highly profiled, innovative doctoral paths characterized by specific requirements for quality, technological innovation, internationalization, and collaboration with businesses. These programs actively engage researchers associated with the CNR.
