This page is dedicated to the training of PhD students on the PhD Course in Energy.

The training activities include compulsory courses belonging to the 3rd level didactic offer of the Department of Engineering, Summer and Winter Schools, Seminars and Workshops on technical topics specific to the course but also multidisciplinary, transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary.

PhD students are required to attend a total of 60 hours over the three years (with an average of 20 hours/year) of specialised doctoral courses (with the passing of the relevant examinations) belonging to the educational offer of the PhD course in Energy and forming part of the catalogue published on the University of Palermo's PhD website.

Practical information (e.g. course programme, syllabus and delivery methods) is available.

Courses must be chosen from those with course code E.

As an alternative, students may choose other courses offered by other doctoral programmes in the engineering department if they are useful for their own research project or have a multidisciplinary or interdisciplinary character.

 

The deadline for course registration is usually one week before the start date.

Only for PhD students of cycle 40: Each student is expected to attend at least 2 seminars per year among those organised by the PhD Programme or the Doctoral School in collaboration with other universities, research organisations or companies on multidisciplinary and highly innovative topics.

These seminars will be promoted by the PhD from time to time during the three-year period.
