Description

The Department of Civil, Environmental, Aerospace, Materials Engineering (DICAM) was founded in 2012 with the aim to bring together scientists from 5 different former Departments, whose expertise encompasses fundamental area of Engineering including Civil, Environmental, Aerospace, Materials.

The DICAM is an academic structure aimed at achieving specific scientific and teaching objectives.

About 150 people (faculty, postdocs, PhD-students, technicians, and administrators) work at DICAM to give raise and support an intensive scientific and academic activity. Several research teams operate at DICAM, that share a common philosophy based on a multidisciplinary approach to research in field.

The department offers a Doctorate academic programm in civil, environment, materials Engineering and professional degree programs with specialty options in seven of those areas:

The Department of Civil, Environmental, Aerospace, Materials Engineering is equipped with 16 specialist laboratories, which provide enormous impetus to the research in all the specific disciplines, as well as an essential element for the relevant teaching activities.
