Materials Section
The Materials Section of DICAM includes several research groups mainly involved in the fields of Material Science and Technology and Applied Physical Chemistry, with specific competences in the structure and properties of materials for industrial and biomedical applications. More specifically, the research groups of this section are active in the fields of Conservation and Restoration of Buildings and Cultural Heritage, of corrosion and protection of metallic materials, of polymer processing, in the study of rheological and mechanical properties of thermoplastic polymer blends, polymer-based nanocomposites, recycled materials, in the synthesis and characterization of materials for energy conversion and storage and of organic and inorganic semiconductors and high k oxides for electronic industry. By clicking on the name of each research group below it is possible to explore the contents.
