The Appraisal Group of Palermo operates within the Department of Civil, Environmental, Aerospace, Materials Engineering of the University of Palermo, conducts research and provides educational services to more than 20 credits within the typical themes of the appraisal subjects.

In particular, the contents regard theoretical assumptions and methodologies on valuation of costs, prices, rates of return of property, investments, facilities, businesses, and for valuation of remunerations, duties, fees, with the aim of making judgments of economic gains in civil, territorial, industrial field. The disciplinary interests extend, in general, to issues of environmental economics and to the feasibility of projects and plans, and the valuation of their economic and not-economic effects through monetary or quantitative-qualitative approaches.
