TOOLS
For the realization of our objectives, by working in concert with the University facilities, the Center aims to use the following tools:
a) Awarding, through public calls and within the Center’s resources, of special "Visiting Fellowship" and "Senior Visiting Fellowship" research grants of medium and long duration (e.g., from one month to one year) to scholars, researchers and professors from international universities and research institutions, on research topics of specific interest, identified by the scientific-technical committee, to develop collaborations with internal faculty in different scientific fields;
b) Accommodating outside scholars by arranging: the identification and provision, at a subsidized cost, of housing or guesthouses, reimbursement of travel expenses, access to university canteens, free access to the University's study and research facilities, the availability of a well-equipped space and computer workstation, free use of the Internet, availability of free e-mail, identification of a Senior Common Room and/or meeting area, provision of an appropriate badge for external scholar recognition, access to the use of MyUniPA app and the University's social media, etc.;
c) International promotion of the Center and external dissemination of study and research activities and, more in general, of planned and implemented activities;
d) Designing a think-tank of University's PhDs, Post-Doc, and Readers;
e) Conceiving, organizing and coordinating Seasonal Schools (with the involvement of Visiting Fellows) on interdisciplinary topics open to selected students from the higher education cycles of the University;
f) Conceiving, planning, and coordinating (with the involvement of Visiting Fellows) of lecture series, focus groups, workshops, advanced training courses, and other forms of teaching, purposely dedicated to the excellence education of master's students, Ph.D. and Ph.D. students, research fellows and postdoctoral fellows.
