Mejora y uso virtual del complejo de San Giovanni degli Eremiti

Abstract

Fostering an approach that considers culture, protection and valorisation is to be considered as one of the most important opportunities for sustainable economic development for a country and in particular for Italy, which has a strong cultural vocation. The study describes a multidisciplinary methodological path that, through the use of integrated procedures of analysis and representation, which make use of innovative digital technologies, investigates the historical-architectural evolution of the architectural complex of San Giovanni degli Eremiti (PA), a representative monument of Sicilian Arab-Norman architecture, included in the Unesco Heritage circuit. The digital contents elaborated contribute to trigger new actions of knowledge, safeguard and valorisation of the monumental asset.
