Abstract

The essay outlines the peculiarities of the Course of Studies in Architecture held by the University of Palermo in Agrigento for about 20 years. The complex situation of the city and of its province have been sigled out and read by architectural design courses. Themes focused have been over the years: the overlapping of archaelogy and architecture; the ghost role of the old city; the overwhelming presence of infrastructures; the orographic condition of the multi centered city.
