Abstract
The Codex Calixtinus is a composite codex arranged in five parts. It is dedicated to the worship of St. James, prayers to the saint, and the pilgrimage to the site of his burial. The fifth book was the last to be completed and is considered an instrument designed to be of use to those who wish to undertake the pilgrimage. The subject of this study will be the analysis of this book in the context of the overall work and in relation to the relevant literary genres.
