Abstract
There has been a growing interest regarding the conservation of cultural and archaeological heritage and a corresponding increase in the number of tourists displaying an interest in these areas. Consequently this has entailed more attentive intervention strategies aimed at the conservation, the appreciation, the enjoyment and the exploitation of our historical and artistic heritage. The subject of the footbridge is closely linked to museological, architectural and archaeological aspects. This paper outlines certain demands on the part of the visitor, the essentials that need to be specified in the project and the results that these particular artefacts, i.e. footbridges, need to provide in order to make more sensitive capital of the interventions, to improve accessibility to the sites in question and to ensure quality of experience.
