Abstract
Authors report a review of alien Tetranychidae and Phytoseiidae species recorded in the last half a century in Italy. Six tetrany- chid species are considered up to now as introduced in Italy, named Oligonychus bicolor (Banks, 1894), Panonychus citri (McGregor, 1916), Oligonychus ilicis (McGregor, 1917), Tetranychus evansi Baker & Pritchard, 1960, Oligonychus perseae Tuttle, Baker & Abbatiello, 1976 and Tetranychus ludeni Zacher, 1913. Among Phytoseiidae, the neotropical Phytoseiulus per- similis Athias-Henriot is probably the oldest exotic species in Italy, followed by Neoseiulus californicus (McGregor). The most recent introduction regards Amblydromalus limonicus Garman & McGregor found in Sicily in 2020.
