Abstract

Through an in-depth archival and documentary investigation, the volume examines the anti-aircraft protection measures adopted during the Second World War in the city of Palermo. The unprecedented reconstruction of the Palermo war scenario allows historiography to reflect on the gap existing, in fascist totalitarianism, between the enactment of legislative measures by the central authority and the effective implementation of these measures on a local basis.
