DONATELLA LA MONACA

"Cancella molto e ardi": la poesia di Giuseppe Langella

Abstract

From Il moto perpetuo to Bottega dei cammei to Reliquiario della grande tribolazione up to Pandemie, Giuseppe Langella's poetic 'tale', in a continuous variation of rhythms, registers and accents, stretches out to embrace autobiographical motions and epochal shocks, refining, precisely in listening to personal experience, the acumen of the gaze towards others, the drive to penetrate the changes in collective destinies. The civic cord that underlies the thematic and formal weaving of his poetry which is innervated by ethical foundations that are ‘as strong as they are implicit’, will increasingly characterise Langella's poetic vein in the dialogue with a contemporaneity grasped in its neuralgic traits.
