Abstract
Susceptibility is a typical passion of our time. Studying it involves investigating the forms of offence, framing the issue from the point of view of the patient, i.e. the person suffering a presumed offence. This essay deals with some general questions concerning susceptibility, taking spatiality as the main field of investigation. Urban and green spaces, cultural institutions and places of consumption are in fact vulnerable to becoming, on the one hand, the theatre of offence (there are places where people are easily angered, as typically happens in car traffic) and, on the other hand, the object of offence (think of all the debates involving large-scale engineering works).
