Abstract

Today there is a greater interest in spreading the knowledge of the values of cultural heritage and the transmission of these values to a wide audience. Effective artificial lighting projects in architectural landmarks of the city of Palermo should be aimed at enhancing the cultural heritage while respecting the identity of the places, mainly thanks to technological innovations that have expanded a lot of expressive possibilities. Through the light is possible the vision of a historic building, or an ancient context, conveying the same sense of past events that have seen the construction and the events of which he was a witness.
