Abstract
The paper focuses on some features, processes and results of large group train-ing setting with oncologist medical palliativist doctors and nurses, in a public ser-vice. The underpinning theory and methodology of this intervention come from the group-analytic theory and application. We assume that the recurring phenomena into a large group setting reproduce emotional, institutional and organizational dy-namics of the work context of the participants. In our opinion the large group setting, concerning with the participants’ emotion involved in their professional context, let them to improve their relational resources in order to understand and substain the therminally ill patients. The recognition, the mental elaboration and the management of emotions occurred in large group setting can improve own self-control and professional skills toward the use of the interpersonal relationships as an important work tool.
