Abstract

Does it even make sense to talk about the Aesthetics of coffee? What does a philosophical discipline, traditionally devoted to the study of art and beauty, and a typical drink of everyday life have to do with one another? This article aims to answer these questions, demonstrating that preparing a coffee and experiencing the drinking of it can rightfully turn into a perfect topic to clarify some contemporary philosophical trends in Aesthetics (like Everyday Aesthetics and Somaesthetics).
