Abstract

Fabrizio Clerici was one of the greatest metaphysical painter of XX century. As the other Italian surrealist and metaphorical artist, as Alberto Savinio, Leonor fini,Stanislao Lepiri, He was considered a master technique, but his paintings were often regarded as burdened from literary premises. This essay aims to rehabilitate the literary dimension in Clerici's painting.
