Abstract

According to official data, there are 50 million children in migration world wide and one in every 200 children is a refugee. In 2016 children comprise over 30% of all see arrival to November 2016. Despite the reality that children comprise a significant proportion of refugee and migrants, the response is often fragmented and there is a pressing need to ensure concerted, collective efforts to join the dots and ad- dress the gaps. The present paper will focus on the protection of children from all forms of violence in searching to establish "a comprehensive child protection system". The primary objectives cover a wide range of interventions, including prevention, identification, reporting, referral, investigation, traceability and statistics, Judicial involvement and effective procedures. The authors will point out how the princi- ples for integrated child protection systems can be implemented to identity promising practices.
