Abstract

The essay analyzes the correspondence between Carlo Emilio Gadda and the "Ammonia Casale S.A." which intermittently covers a period from April 1927 to January 1940, with a long break between the autumn of 1931 and the spring of 1936. It is a decisive period of time on the public and private level. Reading the correspondence allows you to retrace an entire page of the history of Italian industry under fascism from an eccentric perspective.
