Abstract

The plan drawned and signed by architect Vincenzo Sinatra represents the territory of the San Lorenzo feud, near Noto, belonging to the baron Giuseppe di Lorenzo. A particular attention to the ancient architectural remainings, belonging to the byzantine church of San Lorenzo Vecchio and a former temple, emerges from the description, revealing the aristocracy’s aim to salvage the collective identity.
