ACTIVITIES
- Management of the vpn service, which allows the consultation of databases and digital resources in subscription, to the computer equipment of the University, remotely.
- Management of the servers that provide the pptp vpn service - openvpn - openssl (web).
RECIPIENTS
The service is intended for Teaching Staff, TAB Staff of the University and Guest Users entitled (Conferences, Congresses, Events, Soc. external) through a specific request submitted by the authorized Staff.

As early as August 1, 2021, you can use the new University VPN adhering to the new provisions on cybersecurity and cyber risk mitigation. The new VPN is created through a client to be installed on your PC and to be configured only once by entering your university credentials. The installation software is downloaded for your operating system from the following url: https://servizisia.unipa.it/download.asp reserved for university staff (the system requires university username and password to download). Once you have downloaded and installed the software you can configure it by following the instructions in the file "procedure for connection" downloadable to the same url. |
