Identity & Access Management
The Identity & Access Management service manages the set of technologies, systems and procedures for the administration of digital identities associated with a natural person in relation of various kinds (student, professor, administrative technical staff, collaborator, guest, etc.) with the University of Palermo. This service allows the University to facilitate and control access to applications and critical data, from the process of creating and organizing such identities (provisioning) to their elimination (deprovisioning).
New users, except students who register on the dedicated student portal, can register for access to the computer services of the University if it is correctly stored in our systems a relationship with the University of Palermo. You will also need to have your personal contact details (email and/or private mobile) deposited at the relevant office for the delivery of access codes and instructions.
Registered users can manage their credentials through the user management portal.
Users who have lost or need to (re)set their password can perform the recovery procedure. You will need to have your personal contact details (email and/or private mobile) deposited at the relevant office for the delivery of access codes and instructions.
ACTIVITIES
- Take care of the information and IT aspects related to the management of the Identity Management process: provisioning, authentication, authorization, accounting, de-provisioning of the unified credentials of access to the University services in coherence with the GARR-IDEM project (Italian Federation of Universities and Research Institutions for Authentication and Authorization) and SPID (Public Digital Identity System).
- Ensure consistency of its IT activities with the CAD (Digital Administration Code) D. Lgs. 82/2005 and s.m.i., with the D.Lgs. 196/2003 and s.m.i., with the D.Lgs. 33/2013 and relative modifications introduced from the D.Lgs 97/2016, with the Agid (Agency for Digital Italy) and with the ministerial and European directives of competence.
- Testing new ICT technologies in order to improve IT services for users.
- To manage the system called UNIDB with regard to the aspects related to the credentials of access to the university computer systems of the employee/student for the management "computer science" of the triad people-role-structures.
- Manage the applications of the family A3 (University Digital Identity Portal) integrated with SPID.
- Manage the ACUBE/GUEST system to support the University Ads.
