International Student Enrolment
University of Palermo welcomes applications from international students. You are considered an “international student” if you hold a non-Italian academic diploma, degree or equivalent.
Please note that pre-enrolment at the university does not in any way guarantee an appointment at the diplomatic-consular offices for the submission of visa applications.
Please also note that, as already stated in the ministerial note entitled “Procedures for the entry, stay, enrolment of international students and the related recognition of qualifications for higher education courses in Italy valid for the academic year 2025-2026” on page 7, the prior acceptance of a candidate by the university does not confer any right to obtain a visa, given that the issuance of study visas is the exclusive responsibility of the individual diplomatic-consular representations.
