The University of Palermo encourages international students involvement by assigning them the status of Visiting Students. This status may be granted to the students enoroled in a degree programme at a foreign university who wish to spend a study period at the Univeristy of Palermo without an exchange programme (such an Erasmus).
To be hosted  as Visiting student you shall:

Step 1:you have to find a professor who is willing to academically supervise you during your stay in our institution. For this please check on our website about the faculties and departments and decide which one you would like to study at and which one fits your studies so far.

Step 2: we need a written confirmation (email) from the professor that s/he is going to supervise you and also the OK of your home institution (email)

Step 3: You have to apply as an exchange student. Information about this procedure you will receive after we have received both the confirmations.

At the end of the mobility, the tutor has to send a final report in english (specifying the dates of the mobility period, the successful activities carried-out, the amount of acquired CFU/ECTS credits) to the Dipartment that will provide the students with a “visiting student certification” and inform the International Office about the successfully mobility period performed.

To the visiting incoming students will be extensively provided the same services and facilities available for the Erasmus students: Incoming Erasmus Student.
