| Descrizione | A diet composition for use in the treatment of depression in a human subject, the diet composition comprising a) a fasting mimicking diet (FMD) component to be administered for a first time period, which proves less than 50% of the normal calorie intake of the subject with both protein restriction and sugar restriction; and b) a re-feeding diet component to be administered for a second time period, which provides 60-100% of the normal calorie intake of the subject; wherein the fasting mimicking diet component and the re-feeding diet component are administered for multiple cycles, and wherein the subject undergoes a psychotherapeutic treatment for the whole duration of the multiple cycles; the first time period is preferably from 2 days to 10 days, convenienty 5 days; the second time period is preferably from 7 to 85 days, conveniently 25-26 days and the multiple cycles preferably comprise an administration once a month for at least 2 months. |

The method comprises measuring a machine flow Q mach supplied by the ventilator (10), estimating a leak flow Q leak through the intentional leak (40) as a function of gas pressure P p inside the helmet (20), estimating a respiratory flow Q p of the patient based on said machine flow and leak flow, and determining a tidal volume V T of the patient by mathematical integration of the respiratory flow overtime. |

Altre caratteristiche di rilievo sono la facilità d’uso e la semplicità costruttiva, che lo rendono competitivo rispetto ad altri sistemi più complessi e costosi presenti sul mercato. |
